Framecast today announced the appointment of Chuck Scott as Chair of its Advisory Board. In the role, Scott will work closely with the founding team on company strategy, go-to-market, and relationships across the commercial real estate industry.

Scott is one of the most recognized figures in Canadian commercial real estate. He spent 16 years at Cushman & Wakefield — including as Chief Executive Officer of its Canadian business from 2016 to 2024 — after entering the industry in the early 1990s and building and leading firms through to their acquisition.

In 2024 he founded Ruck Lane, a real estate private equity firm built on a hands-on “residency” model — taking meaningful positions in the companies it backs and providing leadership and strategic guidance, not just capital. That operator's view of the industry is what he brings to Framecast's board.

“Chuck has run one of the largest commercial real estate businesses in the country, and now builds companies in the space,” said Sascha Leckebusch, CEO of Framecast. “His judgment on how deals really get done — and what acquisitions, lending, and brokerage teams need to trust a number — is exactly the perspective we want guiding us as we grow.”

Framecast turns a commercial real estate data room into a clean, institutional-grade model in minutes, with every figure traceable to the document it came from. The advisory board will help the company deepen its relationships with acquisitions teams, lenders, and brokers.

Scott joins Framecast following the company's backing from Antler, as it expands its platform and grows its team.
